Yoga retreats
Yoga retreats #01 Yoga retreats and events

We invite you to join us:

  • Yoga retreats in the UK and abroad, all in hand-selected peaceful locations

These yoga retreats are a very special opportunity to learn the essence of Yoga free from the distractions of daily life, leaving you relaxed and rejuvenated. Such an experience can be transforming and encourage a healthier way of being.

Typically on a retreat there are yoga classes in the morning and most evenings practising different postures and using a number of different breathing exercises. There are also opportunities to learn different techniques for relaxation and meditation which will leave your body energised and your mind happy and calm.
Of course you do not have to attend everything - there is no pressure and during the retreat we will also advice and help you to set up your own personalised routine for home practice.

Fundraising Events for the Ganga Prem Hospice held in 2009

DIWALI Celebrations Fundraising Event held on Saturday, 17th of October:

A big THANK YOU to everybody who so generously supported our Fundraiser on Sat, 17th Oct. The beautiful event at the home of Nataraja (Gabriele Steen) in New Malden will hopefully serve as a template for future programmes. During the day, a variety of therapists offered 20 minute “taster” treatments. At £15 a treatment, both clients benefited, therapists made new contacts - and all the money went to the hospice.
A special thanks to Nataraja who organized everything so expertly, to Swami Saradananda, to the holistic therapists, and to the helpers who all gave their time and expertise to make this day possible. They raised the amazing amount of £1,008 for the hospice - a truly inspiring result in the current economic climate!
The day ended with an enjoyable talk by Swami Saradananda on the deeper meaning of Diwali. This was followed by a beautiful meditation and everyone lit a candle to symbolise the opening our hearts to receive the light of knowledge - and to celebrate Diwali.

    Saturday, 28. November 2009 - from 4.00 - 7.30 pm, New Malden, Surrey
Participants enjoyed a beautiful Vedic chanting workshop led expertly by Dr. Solveig McIntosh with her Shruti box, who has written a book and produced several CDs and a DVD. A total of £ 341 was raised for the hospice.

A big thank you to everybody who has so generously supported this worthy cause.
