"Complementary therapies are used alongside orthodox treatments with the aim of providing psychological and emotional support through the relief of symptoms."
Quote from the National Institute of Clinical Excellence (NICE) Supportive and Palliative Care Improving Outcomes Guidance (2004)
Reflexology is a completely holistic complementary therapy which has been shown to improve the quality of people's life. It can be used to help relax, restore and maintain the body’s natural equilibrium. Detailed information is taken prior to a first treatment to understand the client's health concerns and expectations. More information can be obtained from the Association of Reflexologists AOR and the CNHC
Gabriele is registered with the CNHC ( Complementary & Natural Healthcare Council) and a full member of the AOR (Association of Reflexologists), full member of the FHT (Federation of Holistic Therapists) and a full member of the ATL (Association of Therapy lecturers). She teaches CPD courses in Reflexology (details below) and works as Lead Clinical Reflexologist in Haemato-Oncology for the Full Circle Fund Therapies at St. Georges Hospital where she gives treatments to patients, induction training to new therapists as well as providing training for cancer patients and staff using a range of breathing and relaxation techniques and hand reflexology.
The next CPD day course for qualified Reflexologists will be taking place on Saturday, 26th of November.
Please contact us if you are interested to receive more details and/or wish to be included on my email mailing list for any future CPD courses.
"I would highly recommend this training day. It combines just the right amount of medical info with technique practice. The sequence which Gabriele demonstrates is well explained, and learning in a small group means plenty of 'hands-on' experience. I now have the skills and confidence to work in this area, and have received positive feedback from clients on treatments given." - Liz Linington MAR
